Emiway x Loka ‘No Love’

Hip-hop artists Emiway Bantai and Loka collaborated on a new single ‘No Love’ that revolves around the theme of falling out of love and feeling bored in a relationship. There is a certain easiness and melody that follows the rap that gives it a laidback groovy sound. ‘Nahin chahiye tera pyaar/ Nahin chahiye tera stress/ Mujhe de de thoda time/ Baby chahiye thoda rest’ (I don’t want your love, I don’t want that stress, I need some time, baby I just want to rest), urge the duo.

Manas Jha ft. FuzzCulture and Siddharth Basrur ‘Myrooh’

New York-based Indian musician Manas Jha teamed up with indie musicians, Siddharth Basrur and FuzzCulture, to release a track and music video for his second single – ‘Myrooh’ from his upcoming 3-track EP Trifecta. Exploring a new sound, Jha is stepping into the terrains of Electronic music experimenting with an analog Synth Breakbeat soundscape. The song is a tribute to his 2-year-old daughter Myra. The animated music video shows all her favourite toys beating all odds and making it to her birthday carnival. “‘Myrooh’, as in, ‘My Soul’, celebrates my wife Preeti’s and my baby girl, Myra who turned 2 this Jan,” says Manas.

That Room In The Corner ‘Heart Awakes’

Debut band That Room In The Corner with PV Ananth as songwriter and vocalist, Ashwin Syam as guitarist and music producer, Ashwin Shanker on bass, Ritu Gopal on violin and Suhit on piano attempts to bring the story of one of their friends with DPDR to the forefront with their single ‘Heart Awakes.’ The single is a stark reminder that we owe each other kindness and empathy. The video for the single adds to the raw vulnerable space that the lyrics and music attempt to create but it is the violin in the backdrop that lends an added sense of intimacy and melancholy to the atmosphere.
