Keeping things super fresh, we will be curating a weekly list of numbers we could not get enough of through the week and that we know will earworm themselves to your heart as well.

Scroll down for your weekly dose of latest releases.

Osho Jain ‘Yahi Sach Hai’

Mumbai-based singer-songwriter Osho Jain has a knack for having an upbeat production while singing about the most vulnerable and raw emotions. His lyricism and singing afford him a place next to the likes of Ankur Tewari and his song is the perfect fit for a late-night bonfire session as one introspects on the meaning of life. Yahi Sach Hai too is one such introspective single that is sure to keep you hooked as you drown away those existential hours late at night, right before giving in to sleep.

Tanmaya Bhatnagar ‘Raat Adhoori’

When we first wrote about Delhi-based singer-songwriter Tanmaya Bhatnagar for our Women Of Indie edition, we lauded her for “the simplicity in her lyrics that are able to connect with her audience.” With her latest single, she proves it again that a good musician can rely completely on the strength of their vocals. Her soulful rendition with gentle instrumentation will leave you with an odd sense of lightness and melancholy all at once.

Wild Wild Women ‘I Do It For Hip Hop’

Six female rappers along with a B-girl got together in late 2020 after two of them (Krantinaari and Hashtagpretty) initiated bringing a group of girls together, and named themselves Wild Wild Women. The aim was to highlight female artists in a hip-hop scene dominated by male artists. Not only this, but Wild Wild Women was also founded on the ideology of encouraging more
women to work together and see the diversity in our Indian hip-hop community. I Do It For Hip Hop is the first single from the collective and sets the precedent for all the cool, edgy, confident and banger stuff we can expect from them.

Yashraj ft Katoptris ‘DLL’

DLL, acronym for Dil Le Liya, is an experimental new sound. The track explores a middle-eastern sound coupled with elements of hip-hop and electronic music. Yashraj’s rap, like always, is crisp and has a brilliant flow. “Beautiful melodies, well-structured drops and intense storytelling are the essence of this record. Written from the perspective of an individual who is unable to keep a stable relationship and is sometimes too self absorbed to realise, DLL definitely stands out in terms of the overall narrative, production, and an intercity collaboration of artists,” wrote Yashraj on his YouTube channel of the song.

Zaeden ft Hanita Bhambri ‘KTMBK’

Another collaborative single from Zaeden’s upcoming album Genesis, it has all the quintessential Zaeden elements – from a groovy tone to his breezy voice. Add to that Hanita’s soulful and melodious voice and you have their latest release, KTMBK. “KTMBK (Kahoon Toh Main Bhi Kya) is a romantic ballad featuring Hanita Bhambri that soulfully sketches a feeling of being speechless around the love of your life. The singalong lyrics are guaranteed to get stuck in your head and make you hum the melody anytime,” wrote Zaeden on his YouTube channel.
