Aditi Dot, who goes by the artist name, Dot., often releases her original compositions and covers on her YouTube channel. This particular song, takes a subtle dig at the bland nature of modern club music and how Aditi is more than happy to please herself with Latin dancing. Her chirpy singing is accompanied by her playful piano chords as both blend charmingly into a song that’s likely to stick with you for the rest of the day.

The song was not only picked up as a score to Netflix’s Valentine’s Day video, but also got a stellar animated treatment by a YouTube channel. Collectively the song has garnered more than 700,000 views on YouTube alone. While in this day and age, the number doesn’t seem massive, its a testament of the simplicity of things – of how a song recorded in a amateurish way on a phone can make it’s way into pop-culture, as long as it’s beautiful.
