You know it’s October when your social media or news feed is inundated with all things pumpkin-spiced, orange or straight up ghoulish. Makeup tutorials, ads for costumes, and multiple party invites only seem to grow in abundance as Halloween draws closer — but have you actually narrowed down on one that’ll live up to the hype? Let’s be honest, when it comes to Halloween, India hasn’t been the most forthcoming. It’s the usual bar, the usual drinks and a crowd with perhaps a face or two painted. However, that’s exactly what Budweiser wants to change with the Bloodweiser Halloween event this year! Celebrated over the weekend in two cities, Budweiser has decided to turn up the fear factor, allowing you to indulge in one hell of an experience. Moving away from the cliché bars, they’re taking over a defunct store in a defunct mall, and building this venue up from scratch. Mad potions, eerie clouds of smoke, and theatrical actors come together to create an experiential night out that’ll set a whole new bar for every Halloween party in the city. After all, isn’t Halloween all about fun with a side of fright?
Held on Friday, October 27, this defunct store will come back from the dead to welcome the animals of the night — you’re not just a guest here; you’ll also be part of this interactive house of horrors. The event will feature live actors with a scripted story based off New York’s theatrical ‘Sleep No More’, who will draw your attention towards the…‘areas of activity’, shall we say?
Also, if you’re the kind of person who’s undecided about a costume, but still want to keep a mask on, there’s an entire counter dedicated to decorating your very own Budweiser Clydesdale mask. Go wild with paint, sketch a thing or two, bling your mask up — get as creative as you want! As for the line-up? They’ve got Kumail, Lynston (with a special throwback set), and Jihaan x Kavi for the night. If the dance floor isn’t where you want to be, the lounge (think blood red furniture) is where you can mingle with the other ghouls and gals at this shindig, by the bar which has themed drinks too. Budweiser beers as well as Budweiser based cocktails will be your choice of poison for the night.
Oh and, don’t forget to grab a picture or two at the photo-booth, complete with props and masks, by the entrance. That way, at least you’ll have something to remember your night by! *cue evil laughter*)
