Nutella & Spice: Le15's Pooja Dhingra Spreads Some Christmas Cheer With Her Limited Edition Menu

With the year-end festivities bracing to invade, Pooja Dhingra’s Le15 Patisserie has its own little Christmas treat for the city of Mumbai. Regardless of how good you have been this year, the Patisserie that has become synonymous with sinful macarons, choux pastries, cupcakes and tarts to combat the proverbial rainy day is now dishing up for you a limited-edition Christmas menu called ‘Nutella & Spice’.
“This limited edition menu is inspired by Christmas spices,” Pooja Dhingra, founder of Le15 Patisserie and Studio Fifteen Culinary Centre in Mumbai explains. “I wanted to get the same feeling I would when I’d visit Christmas markets in Switzerland and France. That’s where the spice element comes from. And the Nutella is just a personal obsession.”

With four years at Cesar-Ritz Hospitality Management School in Switzerland, and a year at the prolific Le Cordon Bleu, Paris, Pooja has outdone herself in setting up a classic French patisserie in the city, and spreading much happiness to boot – not to mention the festive cheer planned for this year. Her latest gift to home bakers has been the publishing of ‘The Big Book of Treats’ by Penguin, written with ‘a professional’s exacting eye and a home chef’s ability to improvise’.
With a menu that consists of Nutella and sea salt macarons, cinnamon cheesecake, banana bread truffle and ginger spice cookies, the quintessential Christmas flavours manifest themselves in unique and subtle ways this year and already have us raring to go ‘fa la la la la’.
