For those of us with the young Heath Ledger in our hearts and RHCP on our playlist, the 2000’s never really went out of style, but you may need to take a seat for this earth shattering news - it’s been 16 whole years since the millennium. 16 years since Aaliyah and *NSync were blowing up the charts. 16 years since the age of pleather and butterfly clips. For far too long the decade that idolised the best of the worst has been ignored. But good news! Homegrown is bringing it back with a vengeance this Thursday night!
#HGCircus returns with its monthly takeover at Khar antiSOCIAL and an-all new theme, ‘2000’s: The Digital Apocalypse.’ A spectacular celebration of the Y2K generation. Everyone knows that no other generation did it better than the ‘pimp-juice’ generation, single-handedly managing to drop the millennium bug while it was still burning so there’s no excuse to miss its meteoric return.
We’ll have music spinning til the wee hours of the morning from some of the best, with names like G Shezi, Jiggy x Kavi T (who smashed it at our 90’s party and promise to do so again), as well as the Bone-Crushing Funk, Pile-Driving Bass And The Stankiest Groove Slabs of DJ Amul gracing our line-up. So dig up your flip phones and body glitter and join us for one hella crazy night as we cook up the greatest millennium party of the decade.
When: 1st September | 9 p.m. onwards
Where: antiSOCIAL, Khar
