

SALT, a new two-day food festival by Goya Media, debuts in Bandra, Mumbai on October 10–11, bringing together India’s finest homegrown food and beverage makers. Hosted in a heritage bungalow and garden, it blends a curated marketplace, guided tastings, masterclasses, music, design, and outdoor picnics to showcase Indian chocolate, cheese, coffee, spices, tea, and more.
This October, Mumbai is getting a new food festival with SALT, a two-day gathering of homegrown food and beverage makers from across India. Taking place on October 10 and 11 at Pioneer Hall and Corona Garden in Bandra, the festival is the culmination of a decade of Anisha Rachel Oommen-led Goya Media’s food journalism built around four ideas — Shop, Eat, Drink, and Learn — that brings food, craft, music, and design together in a heritage bungalow and garden over the course of an weekend.
At the centre of SALT is a curated marketplace featuring around 50 homegrown brands from across the country, with makers and products spanning chocolate, cheese, coffee, spices, pantry staples, produce, drinks and speciality ingredients. The participating brands include Bon Fiction, Sepoy, Sakura, Rakkaudella, Cazulo, Crèmeitalia, Hatti & Giraffe, Gulab Goodness, Bottega Pereira, Omo, Nomad, O’Luxury, Beachville Coffee, Maverick and Farmer, Käse Cheese, Paul & Mike, Shroomery, Queso.Eventide Coffee, Three One Farms, Olie, Gramiyaa, Mahua, Kebapci and Hearth, among others.
Throughout the weekend, visitors can meet founders, growers, and makers and learn about the processes and stories behind the products. Guided tastings and masterclasses will offer a closer look at everything from Indian cacao and speciality coffee to artisanal cheese, tea, grains, and mushrooms.The evente will alsoincludee two separately ticketed dining experiences. ‘Not Just a High Tea’, by Chef Aarohi of MÄKI and Chef Tanisha of Monté, is an ingredient-forward, European-inspired afternoon tea; while ‘Tea & Terroir’, led by tea taster, sommelier, and fourth-generation tea planter Dona Aideau, explores the terroirs of Indian tea alongside traditional Assamese tea-time snacks.
Beyond food, SALT will feature a vinyl listening room, home and design installations, music and an outdoor picnic area. Set within a Bandra heritage bungalow surrounded by bilimbi, mango, love apple, and breadfruit trees, the festival encourages visitors to spend time browsing, tasting, eating, listening to records, and spending an afternoon outdoors, grounded in the real world.
