The Malabar Literature Festival, set to be held in Kozhikode from November 30 to December 3, 2023, represents a dedicated and genuine initiative to showcase and delve into the rich history and cultural heritage of Malabar. This inclusive festival, catering to both scholarly and general audiences, will feature a diverse roster of authors and scholars from around the world. Moreover, the MLF endeavours to unite distant lands and littorals historically associated with Malabar, such as Kayalpattinam, Lakshadweep, Sri Lanka, Gujarat, Andaman and Nicobar, Hadhramaut, Hijaz, the Malay world, and Africa. It conscientiously focuses on the often overlooked life worlds of Mappila, Dalit, and Adivasi subalterns, intending to foster discourse, interactions, film exhibitions, documentary screenings, cultural events, book fairs, and heritage walks during its duration. These activities aim to provide a comprehensive and authentic experience, offering a glimpse into the rich legacy of Malabar.

Amidst a plethora of literature fests taking place across the country every year, the Malabar Literature Festival emerges as a platform to celebrate and explore the diversity of Malabar's history, literature, arts, and culture.
