While Maggi is the Indian equivalent to the international college student’s ramen, it’s time to admit that as cheap (and delicious) as it is, it really isn’t the healthiest option out there. The next best option is to simply order in but let’s not forget that Mumbai ranks in the top 20 most expensive cities to live in, in the world. From a college student’s standpoint, street food is a feasible option but in these monsoons...you’re playing a version of Russian roulette that your stomach didn’t want to sign up for.
In an attempt to deviate from the college student stereotype that we’re all accustomed to is Magazine Street Kitchen’s latest workshop. From teaching you how to make the best damn scrambled eggs to some comforting mac ‘n’ cheese (no more Kraft boxes for you), there’s a recipe for everyone. If you’re on a health kick and would rather give the pasta a skip, they’re even showing you how to make roast chicken that you can pair with salad, soup or in a sandwich.
The three hour workshop will end in a ‘family style meal’, and is open to all. So if you’re seriously lacking cooking skills but would love to take a class that’ll make you feel like you’re on MasterChef’s set every time you’re in the kitchen, look no further!
