Known pairings find a way to coast, but they don’t always stick. Sure, black goes with white and other sartorial short stories, but when was the last time you remembered something that was marred by such good manners? If there’s one thing much of the city-bred fashion elite have in common, they want to be remembered. Not out of any extra effort on their part but because you can’t help but remember what they managed to pull off. And the ones that ultimately manage to do so, are the ones who understand that unlikely pairings tend to defy trends.
So when we put the mischievous pairing of
Rahul Chhabria and
Arman Menzies along with photographer,
Aneev Rao , as part of a photo series around the perfectly versatile
#NikeAirMax, we knew we’d be in for a day of mismatched adventures and novel thrills. Needless to say, having been around for
over 27 years, this shoe has learned to transform into whatever its wearer makes of it, and these two ‘wearers’ were anything but ordinary. One’s part-model/part-theatre maverick, the other’s part-model/part-producer. Only a small fragment overlaps, and neither defines themselves by that bit but luckily, we were able to find something else that allows them to co-exist.
These two make suits and kicks look like long lost lovers, re-uniting.
