When the new currency made reared it’s badly designed head for the first time people were taken aback by the...vivid colour palette. We may be getting used to them but it doesn’t mean we have to like them. The Note Project by Brandmovers gave ordinary people the chance to rectify this little slip up by designing and submitting their own idealised vision for the new Rs. 2000 notes.

We’ve gathered up some of the best for you to gaze at and sigh for what could have been.

A country of Greats: Rahul Jha’s currency design is a beautiful amalgamation of cultural elements & symbols along with key events that happened in the country. The elements used are - the majestic Royal Bengal Tiger - the national animal, Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose for his immense contribution to the defiant brand of patriotism, and the Agni-V missile launch.

First of Firsts: Arjun Juneja’s currency design is driven by the idea to create a futuristic visual and highlight the achievements we have accomplished i.e sending our first satellite in space.

The Swadeshi Movement: Vini Prasad’s rendition of the currency note takes the route of a design that appeals to people from all walks of life in our country. Be it an elderly person or a kid. With the Swadeshi Movement as the theme, the ‘Charkha’ and Monuments of West Bengal unfold the story of a country so diverse and rich in its history and heritage.

Space Age: Gaurav Ratra’s currency design is dedicated to space science and exploration by ISRO (Indian Space Research Organisation) and is based on the layout of the notes in existence (old and new).
