When we embraced the era of internet movies, we unknowingly bid farewell to those magical evenings in front of the TV, laughing, debating and experiencing good films that would go on to solidify our varied views of the world with our friends and family. Over the years, movie-watching has become a more solitary activity, but a new destination has big dreams of altering the landscape once again.

Star Gold Select HD, a new channel is bringing back the thrill of watching movies at home with some stellar programming. With a belief in showcasing select meaningful and critically admired stories, the channel’s programming promises treats like Masaan, Waiting, Laal Rang, Gour Hari Dastaan, The Reluctant Fundamentalist to name a few. Each week has been programmed to take viewers on a soul-stirring journey. The channel has a collection of 52 premieres for 52 weeks. So, you can tune in every Saturday night at 9 pm to partake in the magic. By the way, for the star-struck souls, Sundayplex, on Sunday afternoons will be dedicated to the latest Bollywood Blockbusters you might have missed right from Kaabil to Jolly LLB 2. Plus, to keep things truly theatrical, there’s only one intermission on the channel to keep up with the multiplex formats, so make sure you’re good and prepped with popcorn and all other necessities before you settle in for the ride.
