Homegrown Artist Illustrates 100 Days At Home Through The House Door

Our lives are made up of seemingly little infinite moments, many that go unnoticed as we go about our day. If the past two years have taught us anything, it is perhaps that it is the simple joy of these everyday moments that make our lives what they are. A brief exchange with a cab driver, an exchanged smile with your neighbour, the playful chatter of children playing in your colony.

As we grow older, childhood too seems like a locked away place of happy memories and wonder. Tapping into the nostalgia of childhood along with the ordinary moments that make up our lives through her series ‘100 Days Of Archiving Home’ is Mumbai-based illustrator Siddhi.

100 Days Of Archiving Home by Siddhi

Evoking a sense of nostalgia, the simple illustrations that are captured through the concept of doors look into moments like ringing someone’s doorbell and running away, gathering outside the door to get your water bottles filled. It also looks into everyday moments like returning from the market or returning from a vacation.

What is in my opinion the most interesting takeaway from the series ‘100 Days Of Archiving Home’ is how the exploration takes place through the limited interactions we might have with people around us, perhaps only through the brief moments shared in a corridor as we are standing at our doors.
