Mumbai may be the ‘City of Dreams’ but anyone who’s ever tried to make it big there knows that there is a sordid underbelly that lurks just below the shiny surface. This short film, written and directed by Aman Khan and produced by Blank Studios has managed to capture the essence of this underground power struggle. This brilliant short has gained the attention of audiences and critics alike and was a selected piece for the 17th Edition of the Jio MAMI film festival. It follows the story of 23-year old Raj Mistry, a boy from a well off Parsi family who dreams of becoming Mumbai’s ultimate drug lord. His efforts are taking him nowhere so he hatches a plan to impress his boss, the infamous and feared Salman Mirza. He decides to stage a kidnapping of Mirza’s daughter so he can be the one to rescue her and earn the respect of the mafia...unfortunately things don’t quite go according to plan.
