Ever since St+Art India began adorning our city walls with beautiful murals and setting up life-size art installations, things haven’t been quite the same anymore. Besides completely changing the look of our cities and adding that much-needed burst of colour, St+Art India has managed to do the unimaginable in that it has made art accessible to the public. Whether it’s Delhi’s Lodhi Art District or St+Art’s recent collaboration with Serendipity Arts Festival in Goa, street art has been redefined in the past couple of years and come 2019, the movement only seems to be spreading to more and more cities across the country. Moreover, it has also allowed artists to step out of the houses and imagine the world as their canvas.

With the new year finally here, St+Art has a host of other projects lined up and this time around, they’re actually willing to let people come and experience the behind the scenes of every artwork. Even though most of us only get to experience the final product, it is important to realise that there’s a whole team of individuals toiling every day to make such phenomenal creations come to life. So to give people an opportunity to understand everything that goes into street art, St+Art for its upcoming Delhi Festival is looking for volunteers across various fields.

While a specific skillset might be required for some of the positions, mostly you just need to be a dynamic person interested in the arts. Most importantly, you shouldn’t shy away from getting your hands dirty in paint! The duration for the volunteer program can range from mid-January - March 2019. The volunteers will be involved in everyday activities in preparation of the Delhi festival.

St+Art is looking to fill in very specific positions like that of a Production Assistant, Artist Assistant, Community Engagement, Documentation/Content Assistants. In case the heavy designations have you feeling overwhelmed, fret not. On the organisation’s Instagram page, you can find the necessary requirements and a brief of what each volunteer will be expected to do. In the long run, the volunteers will become a part of the larger St+Art family and truly take home some great learnings and memories.
