Job Title: Graphic Designer
Experience: 3-5 years
Homegrown is looking for applicants in graphic design. Do you thrive in creative environments and have a strong aesthetic? Are you driven by a keen eye for detail, layout, colour & typography? Does lending your creative vision to build brands & campaigns from scratch excite you? Are you obsessed with experimenting and remain on the pulse of new skills, ideas, narratives and instincts?
As part of a dynamic team, the role will require your experience with print & digital media to further marketing, social & design campaigns/festivals through engaging visual communication across various channels (online & offline). We are looking for someone who can work across verticals, take direction from written/ spoken ideas and convert them seamlessly into visuals, layouts & content.
Creativity. Tech chops. Versatility. Knowledge of branding and marketing techniques, with strong insight into youth and contemporary culture, identity, visual arts, music, fashion, street culture and more: The role requires an understanding of various online social platforms like Instagram, Youtube & the Web; as well as offline content: festival branding & advertising. Your graphics should capture the attention of those who see them and communicate the right message.
Relevant agency experience in the related field & strong design aesthetic is a PLUS
Proficient in Illustrator, Photoshop & Creative Suite programs.
A strong balance of identity, typography, and layout skills
Develop appropriate creative directions and concepts for client objectives
Conceptualise & produce content for various online & offline platforms including: web pages, festival branding, packaging, advertisements, and other communication material.
Build campaign/festival & Social identities with a strong understanding of print & production.
Collaborate across editorial & marketing teams to execute strategy with creative solutions
Engage in referencing, pitches & deck development
Ability to adapt & continuously discover/implement new editing technologies and industry’s best practices to maximise efficiency.
Strong sense of concept development, as well as problem-solving, research and presentation abilities.
Motion graphics/video editing/3d experience is a PLUS but not mandatory.
A quick learner who is comfortable working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, and dynamic environment efficiently.
Able to confidently articulate and present to senior management and a greater team.
Strong, open, and persistent communicator
Ability to work independently, and responsive to constructive feedback
Strong time management skills and understanding of deadlines.
Able to identify with Homegrown voice & aesthetic.
