The Acclaimed Author of ‘Sapiens’ Is Giving A Lecture In Mumbai This Month

Many people know Professor Yuval Noah Harari, author of international bestseller Sapiens: A Brief History of Human Kind, as well as Homo Deus: A Brief History of Tomorrow, and 21 Lessons for the 21st Century. Born in Haifa, Israel, Harari received his PhD from the University of Oxford in 2002 and is currently a lecturer at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.

A winner of many literary and creative awards, and writer in several publications including The Guardian, Financial Times and Wall Street Journal, Harari specialised in history. His current research focuses on the intersections between biology, evolution and history and he has given many talks around the world regarding the same. His most recent book takes on the most pressing issues of our time, including global climate change, technological development and cyberwar.

This December, he will be giving The Penguin Annual Lecture in Mumbai on ‘The New Challenges Facing The Twenty-First Century’. The event promises to not only be enlightening, relevant and thought provoking, but also a deep dive into the author’s brilliant mind. It’ll be a great opportunity to network and meet like-minded peers across a number of fields.

This 12th Edition of The Penguin Annual Lecture is hosted by Penguin Random House India, and will take place on December 16 at the Hotel Taj Lands End in Mumbai at 6:00pm. Register for it here.
