There’s absolutely no doubt that Prateek Kuhad is one of the finest artist we have. The singer-songwriter has been consistently receiving love and adoration across the board for his brand of pop music. Over the years, Prateek has also managed to build a following of ardent fans who have propelled him into international fame and helped him garner various accolades. One of the more recent feathers in this artist’s cap, is his performance on the renowned COLORS Show.
Prateek, who just wrapped up his North America tour, is busy promoting his album ‘cold/mess’. A beautiful 6-track project which explores love, heartbreak and everything in between. The album generated quite the buzz, especially from the touching music video of its single, ‘cold/mess’. In fact, Prateek played the heart wrenching song ‘did you/fall apart’ from this very album for his COLORS performance.
COLORS is a unique aesthetic music platform which showcases talent from all around the globe, and has them perform in a standard background with a unique colour.Wearing a lavender shirt against a lavender background (clearly a nod to the song’s artwork), Prateek plays a piano as he sings the song. With his signature voice and a beautiful delivery, he renders a rather moving performance.
Given international artists such as HER, Daniel Caesar, Joji, JID, Amine and more have performed on this platform, there’s no doubt that this is a watershed moment for both Prateek and India’s music community. This also solidifies Prateek’s capability as a seasoned artist and his potential to further his reach and garner international acclaim.
Prateek has a few shows lined up in London next month. Till then, enjoy the performance!
