30 More Seats Added For Ministry Of Crab’s Pop-Up This Weekend!

Update: Since the last time we published this article, the Ministry Of Crab was flooded with requests to get in on this sumptuous event. To make sure nobody has to miss out on this delicious opportunity, they’ve added 30 more seats to accommodate Mumbai’s many gourmands. A crustacean haven is just about to make a short appearance in Mumbai and here is all you need to know about it. For the first time in Mumbai, you now have a chance to experience the tastes of Colombo’s hugely successful restaurants - Ministry of Crab and Nihonbashi; the brainchild of Sri Lankan-Japanese chef Dharshan Munidasa. This one of a kind pop-up restaurant event- ‘A Taste of Heaven’ brings to you the finest seafood, with the star ingredients; tuna and crab specifically picked out by the chef from the markets of Tokyo and Colombo. The event’s culinary creations will include authentic dishes like Blue Fin Tuna Belly, Sumibi-Yaki, Foie Gras Teriyaki, Black Pepper Crab and a special vegetarian menu, topped with a flute of complimentary Louis Roederer champagne and a Grey Goose cocktail.

Both Ministry of Crab and Nihonbashi consistently rank in Asia’s top 50 Best Restaurants with the chef infusing his dishes with a Japanese identity. Munidasa has spent almost two decades creating original dishes using only the finest ingredients. This unanimously hailed father of Sri lankan fine designing acquires his star status by a simple scientific formulae-breaking down ingredients to basics by understanding what each piece [in the dish] tastes like.

Munidasa has also recently opened The Tuna And The Crab, a hybrid Japanese and seafood restaurant, and Kaema Sutra, focusing on contemporary Sri Lankan cuisine; in Galle and Colombo respectively.
