Does the idea of sitting in a closed space and eating your meal not seem exciting to you anymore? Fret no more, this Bangalore based restaurant has you covered. FlyDining is the first restaurant in the country that brings to people the experience of enjoying a meal in the sky.

The restaurant consists of a deck with a huge 22-seater dining table, lifted approximately 525 feet in the air by a crane, where it rotates at a gradual place. This unique dining experience helps customer enjoy an aerial view of the silicon city, its green cover and the Nagawara lake below. It offers a menu which is set and prepared in advance and served in the air by staff members. People can choose between having a round of mocktails or a full fledged dinner in the sky.

Cost for 2: Mocktails cost INR 3,999 on weekdays and INR 4,999 on weekends. While dinner is priced at INR 6,999 on weekdays and INR 7,999 on weekends.

Where: T-49, GF, Hauz Khas Village, New Delhi

This cafe is a haven for those in love with all-things-travel. The owner of the cafe, Ajay Jain is a photographer, who has travelled the world along with two self-published books under his name. He can be found in the cafe when he is on sabbatical from his thrilling biking trips.

The cafe is run by a team of travel writers and is a space for people from all walks of life to come and share their travel experiences and connect with fellow travel enthusiasts. What makes this cafe more interesting is its payment policy - the customers can choose to pay the amount they like or not pay at all , however this is only applicable to the beverages served by the cafe . The cafe tries to cover these costs by hosting several worshops and art exhibitions. Kunzum is also a popular venues for events such as poetry and book readings. You can drop by the place when in mood for some interesting anecdotes.

III.Plum

Where: Third Floor, Trade View Building, Kamala Mills Compound, Senapati Bapat Marg, Lower Parel, Mumbai

This restaurant is a new addition to the plethora of Pan-Asian restaurants in the city. The restaurant with its vibrant colours and pieces of furniture that stand out, can be overwhelming for most at first glance but is perfect for the those caught up in the hustle bustle of city life.

This collaboration between Bent Chair and First Fiddle Restaurant gives one the opportunity to buy furniture while taking a bite of their meal or in conversation over coffee. Plum is the online furniture store’s attempt at venturing into the offline market and subsequently expanding their customer base and connect with them offline. The carefully curated pieces of furniture sold at Plum are priced at INR 5,000 and above.Make sure to drop by on bad days because Plum ensures that you have a great food along with some retail therapy on the side.

IV. Floating Restaurants

Where: Multiple ports across Mumbai

The city of Mumbai became home to these floating restaurants in November, 2018. They are the first of their kind on the Eastern Sea. The restaurants are Turkish ships named Queensline Neverland & Queenline Sea YAH. Those with fantasies about cruising around the world don’t have to look too far now.

The restaurants are to be parked few miles away from the Gateway of India and have the capacity to hold 450 diners each. The Passengers are picked up from different points across the coastline of Mumbai and taken on board the ship. They are to experience a dining session coupled with a cruise that would allow people to witness Mumbai’s breathtaking skyline. The food is said to be a selection of best flavours from around the world.

V. GREENR Cafe

Where: Building 4 SMR house, Basant Lok Community Center, Vasant Vihar, Delhi

The restaurant is perfect for those who are have recently adopted vegetarianism but still crave for a bite of meat every now and then, and aren’t satiated by traditional alternatives like paneer and mushrooms. GREENR is armed with a team of in-house experts which combine high protein veggies, seeds and nuts to create delicious and healthy alternatives to meat also known as ‘plant meat’.

The cafe comes up with their own base ingredients allowing them to stay away from processed foods which are full of stabilizers, preservatives, and artificial colours. They even make their own ketchup and hot sauce. It is a proactive step towards endorsing the idea that personal and planetary health can go hand in hand which is something that is reflected through their biodegradable packaging and re-using of all food ingredients and its furniture that is made up of reclaimed pine wood. VI. Seva Cafe, Ahemdabad

Where: Shopper’s Plaza, Chimanlal Girdharlal Rd, Abad, Opp Municipal Market, Ahmedabad, Gujarat

The restaurant’s motto is ‘living is giving’ which feels like a breath of fresh air in today’s world where we are becoming more and more focused on making profits. At Seva Cafe, one is offered a menu with no price listing on it and the check at the end of their meal reads INR 0 stating: “Your meal was a gift from someone who came before you. To keep the chain of gifts alive, we invite you to pay it forward for those dine after you.” The system of the restaurant works on paying for the person who is to come for a meal after you.

The place is known amongst the residents of the city for its hospitality and all the money earned through this initiative goes to projects for social upliftment in the region and these transactions are said to be carried out in a very transparent manner.
