It is rare when the culture of music and gastronomy converge. But a groundbreaking collaboration has emerged, bringing together the culinary mastery of The Baykery and the urban flair of Darko. The result? An unprecedented fusion of flavours and beats known as Kitchen Rave—an experiential concept and audio-visual anomaly that is set to redefine the city's underground scene.

Kitchen Rave is an immersive experience that blurs the lines between food show and electronic music, culinary experience and gig, DJ booth and chef's station. It's an event where the aroma of freshly baked goods mingles with the pulsating rhythms of techno, house, and disco, creating a sensory journey like no other.

The Baykery, founded by marketer Harshith Bangera and Chef Siddharth Shetty, ranges from artisanal cookies to custom-designed cakes and is tailored for any event or craving. On the other hand, Darko, a Bombay-based streetwear brand, is curated for music enthusiasts, particularly those inclined towards Techno & House genres. Founded with a mission to infuse clothing with narrative and significance, Darko's signature T-shirts reflect a dedication to style with substance, always asking, "Would I wear this at my favorite artist's gig?" Together, these brands represent a fusion of culinary excellence and urban expression, epitomizing a modern lifestyle where taste and style intertwine.

The debut edition of Kitchen Rave held recently at the Baykery's kitchen in Mumbai, showcased the talents of three eclectic DJs — Jas, Sage, and KIBO— who took center stage alongside co-founder Chef Siddharth Shetty. As the DJs began the sets, Chef Shetty dazzled attendees with his culinary skills, creating a seven-item menu that perfectly complemented the music and atmosphere.

The first audio-visual spectacle released online featured Sage's shapeshifting set of melodic techno — a mesmerizing journey through climactic drops, entrancing vocals, and minimal beats. As Sage worked his magic on the decks, Chef Shetty whipped up delectable treats such as mix veg & mozzarella quiches and mushroom white truffle gougeres, tantalizing the taste buds of ravers in attendance.

The second set, curated by KIBO, delivered an energetic mix of house and disco that kept the crowd grooving all night long. Against the backdrop of KIBO's infectious beats, Chef Shetty prepared a spread of bao buns with paneer tandoori filling, chocolate sable, milk chocolate & hazelnut profiteroles, and honey butter toast with toffee sauce, adding a culinary dimension to the immersive experience.

Awaiting release is Jas' electrifying mix — a journey of classic and melodic techno that promises to captivate listeners and viewers alike. Accompanied by Chef Shetty's handcrafted Korean cream cheese buns, Jas' set is poised to be the grand finale of Kitchen Rave's inaugural online series.

Looking ahead, Kitchen Rave aims to solidify its position as a tastemaker in India's electronic music landscape, drawing inspiration from industry leaders like Boiler Room and The Lot Radio. With its unique blend of music, food, and culture, Kitchen Rave promises to remain a coveted and exclusive event for ravers and food enthusiasts alike.

For those eager to experience the magic of Kitchen Rave, the journey continues online, with new sets and culinary creations waiting to be unveiled. Kitchen Rave represents a bold new frontier in Mumbai's underground scene — a celebration of creativity, collaboration, and culinary innovation that is sure to leave a lasting impression on all who attend.
