Your Favourite Penguin Classics Just Got A Pop Culture Upgrade

Homegrown Staff

While we’re sure that William Shakespeare might be rolling over in his grave at the sight of Kim Kardashian on the cover of ‘Much Ado About Nothing’, we can’t help but applaud this project for its sheer ingenuity.

Created by Romanian artist, Julien Britnic, this ongoing Tumblr pairs Penguin classic novels with pop cultural and digital references - think To Kill A Mockingbird by Harper Lee meets one of the must infuriating smartphone games of all time, Flappy Bird; and Aladdin and the Lamp meets Siri.

Millennials and literature do go together after all.
