An Eco-Friendly Boutique Hotel In Goa Made From Upcycled Shipping Containers

Homegrown Staff

Summer is upon us and what better way to embrace the season than to pair a sunny day with the cool waters of Goa. Goa will always hold a special place in our hearts but with the growing crowds and rapid commercialisation, every bar and hotel now seems to be carbon copies of the each other that leave a big dent in your wallet.

Imagine our surprise when we discovered the Beach Box Hotel, an ingenious boutique concept hotel that is not only easier on our bank accounts but also incredibly eco-friendly. As their name suggests, this entire property is crafted using upcycled materials and shipping containers! The incredible design brings together creative innovation and aesthetics in a spectacular way.

Now don’t let the term ‘shipping containers’ fool you – the crimson coloured hotel is far from ordinary in terms of their hospital and provide a premium experience for travellers. A stone’s throw away from the ever-popular Baga beach, so you’re centred in the party hub but can make a quick escape into the haven of the Beach Box, their unique ‘red swimming pool’ that’s also made of a refashioned shipping container with a pool-side bar.

The sustainability ethos speaks clearly through the hotel’s interiors as well as refurbished wood is used as well as the refashioned trinkets that adorn the rooms.

Enjoy a swim, lounge by the pool while you sip on some chilled cocktails or pop in for a quick bite at the in-house restaurant, the Beach Box Café. You can experiment with their multi-cuisine menu or get a taste of local flavours instead – there’s something for everyone.

Scroll on for a glimpse inside the Beach Box Hotel, visit their website for more information and book your stay!
