Malaysia’s Best Buns Make Their Way To Mumbai

Nikita Jaiswal

The lethal combination of crunchy flaky pastry and a soft, buttery, absolutely sinful center has finally graced our city. If you happen to have a sweet tooth, you’re going to love the fresh-out-of-the-oven golden brown bun crisped to perfection, delicately flavoured with caramel, stuffed with pure goodness at Papparoti in Kamala Mills, Lower Parel.

Having worked its magic in 32 countries worldwide and two Indian cities (New Delhi and Hyderabad), this Malaysian chain has opened its doors to the city of dreams. Known for their freshly baked buns with a host of toppings including (but not limited to) dark chocolate, honey, nutella with hazelnuts/crushed oreos, and chocolate, vanilla, or strawberry ice creams, Papparoti’s one of a kind snack is all good things rolled into one ball of deliciousness.

The perfect accompaniment to these buns are their incredible milkshakes–peanut butter almond, royal date, or their signature Pappa Affogato. And if you’re not a fan of milkshakes, fret not. Papparoti boasts of an impressive range of coffees and teas–caramel macchiato, mochaccino, green milk tea, cardamom milk tea, and even a wonderful brew of Za’atar. The highly anticipated cafe also serves an expansive Italian menu that includes shahsoukas, salads, pastas, wraps, and sandwiches among others. At this rate, Papparoti, armed with buns and milkshakes, is ready to conquer Mumbai’s market!
