Across the length and breadth of India, there are musicians just waiting for their chance to shine. But with so much talent comes fierce competition and sometimes, even the greatest artists miss their opportunity. India’s burgeoning hip-hop culture is just another sphere where the need of the hour is more accessibility and spotlight. There has been a definite shift with the rise of the digital age, with musicians uploading tracks from their own spaces, and local rappers finding overnight success through YouTube, but where does it all lead?

Saavn and Homegrown share a common goal of giving such untold stories the chance to be heard so at #HGStreet, India’s premier sneaker and street culture festival, we’re launching the collaboration #SaavnHGFlex to provide both the means and the platform for people to take their music to the world. This unique digital rapper hunt is giving people a shot at stardom and a global recording deal that will take your music to the world.

To enter all you need to do is fill in this form and submit your beat or freestyle rap on any social media platform with the hashtag #SaavnHGFlex. If your track is chosen, you’ll be given the opportunity to record at the Saavn Studios in Mumbai, collaborate with their roster of producers to hone your track, get your music mixed and mastered by professionals and get your sounds marketed on Homegrown and Saavn’s international channels.
