FIN: Bluetooth Ring That Turns Your Hand Into An Interface

Homegrown Staff

With the arrival of state of the art technology adding “smart” to phones/watches/glasses or anything really, it was only time until someone decoded the next stage of computing with smartrings. RHL Vision, a competitor in the TechCrunch CES Hardware Battlefield today has created Bluetooth rings that turn your fingers into buttons.

The workings of this cutting-edge technology is based on an optical sensor that is tucked into a small ring placed around your thumb, which allows it to detect swipes and taps across your hand. In future iterations, they hope to use biometrics to distinguish each segment of each finger.
