Every weekday, these women in training get to practice on real customers, as Bhavnani's salon offers free blow-dries to patrons. And looking into the future, she hopes that one day, they will be independent enough and equipped with the right skills to open their open salon, giving them financial stability, and a better way of life. This is how you start to level a very unequal playing field.
