With a view to immerse you deep into the symphonies and the buzzing of trumpets, this international jazz festival yearns to give you a hint of that fine New Orleans atmosphere. Not only does it aim towards giving you an all immersive experience as though you were cruising down the bayou, but boy oh boy do they have a string of international and local whizz’s lined up for you. To broaden your horizons when it comes to the evergreen creations of jazz and it’s varied contemporary genres. And you bet your bottom penny, it’s bound to be more than sax to your ears. (A girl just loves her puns) Each genre unsurpassable and tempered with it’s own unique sui generis ring of it’s own. This extravaganza, flourishes and graces two Indian states; Goa and Gurgaon. The jazz circuit aims towards generating a holistic experience by imbibing music workshops, flea markets which entail a wide spectrum of food to choose from and experience.

The first venue of this jazz festival in Goa is set to commemorate and take flight on the 30th of November till the 1st of December, at the International Centre. With a versatile line up set in place for you such as the likes of jazz artiste’s like Simon Thacker from Scotland, The Turbans from Israel, Karan Khosla & Co., Macha Gharibian Trio, The Shuffle Demons and many more. This is the very epitome of reinterpreting sounds in their own unique way. This contemporary festival makes room for all of the diverse acts and genres that jazz shape shifts it’s way into;since it’s two years of being the Jazz Ciruit has featured artists such as the likes of Stanley Jordan, Dave Weckl, Jojo Mayer|NERVE, Jamison Ross, House of Waters and 30+ jazz commemorated mavens.

Simon has also spun his own take with Indian classical, for him it’s more than just appreciating the mere craft “I see my music as forging a third direction beyond East and West, genuinely of itself,” says Simon. This then can be seen as a musical intervention, one that consists of staggering and socially diverse performances. Every ardent jazz lover shouldn’t deliberately pass on this eargasmic extravaganza.
