Most often, the traditional creative spaces of India do not get the kind of exposure they deserve. The India Craft Project, an initiative started by Saumya Pankaj, explores artistic realms through creative collaborations between rural artists and their urban counterparts in a way that creates a dialogue around the art and culture of India. It is a socially-significant venture since it helps mobilize the artisans of India, who have increasingly been lured into working as labourers because of the inadequacy of jobs in the art sector. The aim of this project is to build a varied community of craftspeople, content writers, photographers, travellers, designers, and artists from different sectors, in order to foster deeper relationships and help preserve the traditional history of our country.

This year, from 24th to 27th January, The India Craft Project (TICP) has organised a Pink City Tour for 3 nights and 3 days, to explore Blue Pottery & Block Printing, Jaipuriya Khanna, and good vibes over tandoori chai. Essentially it is a curated cultural tour anchored around crafts. In this tour, you can shop for ‘Jootis’ (footwear), Tie and dye ‘Odhnis’ (scarves), block printed fabrics, lac bangles, leather and embroidered bags in the Bazaars of Jaipur. You can also indulge in delectable delicacies of Jaipur like savoury kachoris, sweet ghowar, sumptuous Rajasthani thalis, tandoori chai and meethi lassi. Seize the vibrant experience of this immersive tour in the Pink City while learning and exploring unique crafts, relishing Jaipuriya food and witnessing the vibrant culture of Rajasthan.

This offer is inclusive of a warm stay (twin sharing) for 3 nights and 3 days + Breakfast and Snacks + Workshop material and takeaways + Intercity Travel
