Of Radical Dreams and Optimism: Streetwear Label Six5Six’s Latest Drop
Psychedelic prints and baggy pants featured in the collection.

New Delhi-based Streetwear label Six5Six Street (the brainchild of sibling duo Amber and Avni Aneja) was born out of the desire to bring a rather new outlook of laid-back, yet fashion-forward attire to the Indian masses. Having displayed their creations previously at renowned events and platforms such as Lakme Fashion Week and Sole DXB, the label has carved its own niche and paved the way for the streetwear movement here in India as well. Birthed from the desire to converse and create simultaneously, SIX5SIX is not just a clothing label, but also a medium of expression that constantly challenges norms and questions everything.

Trippy co-ords

Featuring psychedelic prints interspersed with near-surreal dreamscapes, bold hues and textual references, each unique piece exudes positivity through and through. From baggy, printed pants and trippy co-ord sets, to bucket hats and oversized tees that symbolise all the good things that are yet to come, the drop features an amalgamation of unisex pieces which are eye-catching and sure to be a summer staple in any wardrobe.

A short film 'Radical Optimism' by Six5Six

The drop was followed by a short film showcasing picturesque visuals full of childlike innocence, reverie and curiosity. The main character takes you on a journey representative of the one we have all taken this past year and a half - for some it has been a journey of self-discovery, for other’s an eye-opening experience to the simple pleasures of life that truly lift your spirits.

Touching upon the sources of solace in the new normal, be it music, literature, art or recreation, the video takes you through a fun-filled dream world infused with experiences and sources that have helped us stay afloat in these trying times. The short film depicts an alternate reality that represents those very experiences through a visual menagerie consistent with the bold hues and psychedelic prints featured in the drop’s unique pieces.
