Shia Rai’s take on luxe streetwear or better defined as ‘Haute streetwear’ is all about statement wear that makes you feel as confident as ever. The brand’s ethos revolves around promoting sustainable vestments and making streetwear accessible to all demographics.
While the brand is best known for its assortments of plaids, pastels, reworked denim, and satin silhouettes, the label has also made major moves with its stunning accessories. Finding a devoted fanbase in artists like Rajkumari, the label seems to be making headway in carving its own niche in the industry.
In terms of the brand’s conceptual journey, Rai’s innate inclination towards creating new things has always been a driving force. Her passion and visual sense pushed her into delivering a brand that caters to a rising league of streetwear aficionados and her label’s assorted pieces put a fresh spin on urban wear.
After working and gaining experience in the fashion industry working as the assistant creative director for Shantanu & Nikhil, the young creative opted to take the big step forward into the industry and kick-start her own streetwear label.
We find it quite commendable that since 2019 all of the brand’s garments have been made using scrap or waste materials and deadstock from fast fashion companies. Merging craftsmanship and couture seems to be the brand’s primary focus and we’re here for it!
