Milkman, the brainchild of creative visionaries, has evolved into a pulsating hub for music aficionados over the past six years. Offering more than just entertainment, Milkman has become synonymous with the pulsating heartbeat of India's electronic music scene. Envisioning happy and dance-friendly atmospheres, Milkman has continually fostered unique experiences that resonate with a diverse array of music lovers.
Since its inception in 2016, Milkman has carved a dynamic niche within India's ever-evolving electronic music landscape. From pioneering the warehouse-rave culture to showcasing a roster of global and local talent at the forefront of the underground electronic music scene, Milkman has surged ahead as a formidable trailblazer. Notably, the pioneering collective has orchestrated nationwide tours for renowned artists such as DJ Stingray 313, Helena Hauff, Interstellar Funk, Valesuchi, and Elena Colombi, elevating the Indian music circuit to an international pedestal. Despite the challenges posed by the pandemic, Milkman resolutely pivoted its energy towards radio shows and promoting Indian music. Notably, both of their 'Terminal 1' festival editions garnered widespread acclaim. In 2021, Milkman's foray into label releases was marked by the release of Future Literature, a five-track EP by the talented Mumbai-based artist Azu Hoyvoy, showcasing experimental and industrial soundscapes followed by Erika Leah's album 506 in 2022.
Celebrating six years of sonic revolution, Milkman's anniversary party at antiSOCIAL Mumbai promises an electrifying showcase of diverse musical talent. The carefully curated line-up includes an ensemble of prodigious artists who promise to elevate the celebratory ambience to new heights.
Leading the auditory expedition is Salome, the Berlin-based DJ and producer, whose seamless fusion of electro, acid, and techno creates an immersive experience that is both fresh and enthralling. Hailing from Hanoi, Di Linh brings her eclectic musical palate, blending disco, house, and techno, creating an enchanting narrative that resonates with audiences on a visceral level. Meanwhile, Ouissam, the visionary founder of Hong Kong's Cliche Records, is set to bewitch party-goers with his transcendent synthesis of disco, house, and techno, infusing an irresistible sonic aesthetic that transcends boundaries. Lastly, Spacejams, a resident DJ for Milkman's iconic party series, known for his mercurial mixing style and diverse selections, will ensure the dance floor ignites with his high-energy sets, drawing inspiration from Mumbai's pulsating energy.
