Nothing says love better than a good love song to hit you in the feels. Right in time for Valentine’s Day, Mumbai-based DJ-duo 31 Stars is releasing their playful pop debut single Catch a Vybe. On a mission to redefine the way audiences perceive the music of their home country, the song is about the moment when you see a person and instantly fall in love. The euphoric and tropical tune single makes for the perfect Valentine’s Day track.
31 Stars is made up of producers Aman Vanjani and Jay Punjabi. The duo met in London where Aman studied production and Jay worked as the head of music in a management company. As of now, Punjabi is the director of India operations at SNAFU records, an AI-led record label as well as the chief operating officer at Cali Recording Studio, Mumbai which was also founded by Vanjani.
Sharing about their musical journey so far, Vanjani said in a post, “This journey started off in 2016 from Jay managing me when I was producing music as Backclash, which took us to LA where we worked on music with some very talented artists, singers, and songwriters. This was the start of something special! A bond that then led us to start a duo artist project together called 31 Stars.”
Reeling back to their latest release which is in collaboration with Los Angeles-based songwriter and musician StarChild Yeezo, Punjabi says, “Catch a Vybe is a song you can listen to literally anywhere - on a drive, in a nightclub, or while laying down on the beach on a sunny Sunday afternoon. We want to create a fun, love song that everyone can relate to. This is a song which you can relate to when you fall in love at first sight!”
The duo is currently working on an EP that will be released in mid-2022.
