It is no breaking news that India’s gin scene is ever-growing. Homegrown gin, represented by many Indian brands, has been on the rise to be young India’s preferred drink for a few years now. Like many aspects of the food and beverage world, this exponential growth deserves not only recognition but also celebration.
This is what the Gin Explorer’s Club (curated by Food Talk India) is all about –– celebrating gin, and Delhi, this is your chance to join in!
2-3 April, 2022 (Noon - 10 PM), should be marked on your calendars as the best gin experience India has to offer. It will be held at The Hub, DLF Promenade, New Delhi. The festival is bringing together a whopping 16 gin brands, both homegrown and international, namely Beats Spirits, Beefeater, Bombay Sapphire, Bulldog, Gordon’s, Greater Than, Greater Than: No Sleep, Jaisalmer, Monkey 47, Roku, Samsara, Samsara-The Pink City, Stranger & Sons, Stranger & Sons: Perry Road Peru, Tanqueray, Tanqueray 10, and Terai.
Along with several pop-up restaurants, the Gin Explorer’s Club will also have a couple of exciting bars. In collaboration with Singapore Tourism, a bar will showcase the flavours of Singapore through cocktails, and Jade Forest, their homegrown tonic partner will also whip up some specialities using the clear spirit.
Of course, no celebration is complete without music. Performing artists include Avantika, Nash, Tech Panda X Kenzani, Madstarbase, and Copy Cats.
Gin enthusiasts and lovers can opt from two options of gin-sampling packages: the Homegrown Gins Explorer’s Package, which gives you access to one drink each from homegrown brands such as Greater Than, Terai, Stranger & Sons, and more. The International Gin’s Explorers Package allows you to get yourself one drink each from international brands such as Roku, Monkey 47, Bulldog Gin, among others.
What began in 2017 by Anjali Batra and Shuchir Suri as a mission to ‘make India fall in love with gin’ is now a nationally well-known and must-experience festival.
