Nestled in the heart of Goa's vibrant Panjim, lies a unique speakeasy that knows how to switch gears faster than a Formula One pit crew. By day, it is the marketing headquarters of Nao Spirits, a company dedicated to crafting exceptional spirits. At dusk, the company sheds its corporate skin and unveils its secret identity - MTW Bar. MTW, as the name cleverly hints, defies the typical bar schedule. While others slumber, this bar's doors are open wide on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays, the holy trinity of neglected bar nights.

Step inside and enter a whimsical office party gone rogue. The walls are painted in red lights and hosts a playful decor - weighing scale stools to 'check your baggage', a paper shredder for disgruntled notes to 'write, shred, and forget', and lamps that dim with the setting sun.

But the real stars of the show are the concoctions dreamt up by their resident mixologists. The W.F.H., a citrusy drink with lime and orange foam, carries a whiff of rebellion thanks to the Greater Than Gin and the smokiness of Kangra tea. Another drink from the menu, Out of Office, is truly a visual delight — a tiny candy man on a basil leaf boat filled with coconut shavings, relaxing in a sea of refreshing coconut, basil, and lime. Each drink is a story in a glass, with the menu divided into work days that a person would typically have; long days, tough days, half days and daily catch-ups.

MTW doesn't believe in complicated food menus. They serve some delicious toasties, each a symphony of bread, cheese, and deliciousness. The Smoked Caramoza Chicken Ham is a classic done right, while the vegan option is packed with olives, sundried tomatoes, and a herby tapenade, proving that going meat-free can also be scrumptious. The entire menu is unique and affordable, reflecting the spirit of MTW itself. Food maxes out at ₹300, and drinks don't break the ₹500 mark. You can enjoy yourself, drink, and eat without worrying about the bill giving you a hangover.

So, if you ever find yourself in Panjim on the weekdays, feeling like your soul needs a break from the corporate grind, head to MTW. Just remember, what happens at MTW, stays at MTW. Unless, of course, you write it down and shred it. Then, it never even happened.
