Sitting at the intersection of smart connected devices and everyday living, Upliance is a Bangalore-based startup founded by IIT Bombay alumni and ex-Chief of Staff at Ather Energy, Mahek Mody, and the ex-Head of Engineering at Chaayos, Mohit Sharma. Through this joint endeavour, Mahek and Mohit aim at enabling people to level up their lives through innovative products which will transform the mundane into something special. Their first smart ‘upliance’ called delishUp started deliveries in December last year.
delishUp is an AI-integrated smart cooking assistant that gives people with no experience in the kitchen the ability to prepare hassle-free, nutritious meals for themselves featuring a cutting-edge touch screen with unlimited in-built guided recipes, coupled with a jar which heats and cooks, and offers controlled chopping, stirring, kneading grinding, mincing and other culinary functions. The touchscreen displays an endless supply of guided recipes, each with detailed instructions for everything from ingredient selection to plating with added features like nutritional information, grocery shopping, menu planning and more. The brand also recently integrated ChatGPT into the system making it possible to customize recipes, offer support and suggestions, empowering anyone to begin cooking.
delishUp which weighs up to 7 kilogrammes, smaller than a typical microwave oven, and connects to the internet through your home wi-fi network. Over-the-air upgrades provide access to new features and enhancements and include new recipes being built by Team Upliance. It comes with a set of measuring spoons, spatula, steamer basket, butterfly whisk and a blade cover, and has already been tested in 350+ real Indian homes with over 10,000 meals cooked.
