The homegrown tattooing industry has experienced incredible growth as notable artists create their impact, one piece of art at a time. Today, it has evolved to such an extent that its potential has no boundaries. As we witness an exponential rise in the popularity of the once underground art form, it’s time to gear up for an exciting tattoo takeover happening this week in Mumbai.
The first-ever Puncturewala Tattoo Festival takeover is set to be hosted at Anti Social on the 27th and 28th of May 2022 featuring an incredible lineup of multidisciplinary tattooists putting up their flashes and making custom tattoos.
Stemming from the idea of creating a platform for independent tattoo artists hoping to reach a wider audience, the festival is a community-based initiative that refuses to limit body art to exclusive circles and standalone studios. This is a world-class convention featuring hundreds of brilliant artists from across the country dabbling in different variations of inking. Catch artists like Zake, Chew’d Perfect, Poonam Found and EPOC47 tattooing live at the event. Nowhere else would you find such a collection of skilled tattoo artists under one roof. Drawing inspiration from the compact setups that Indian street vendors are known for, the festival is all set to mark exciting times, with tons of tattooing and groovy beats to set the tone!
