Virtual Gods: A 3D Art Collaboration Capturing Post-Lockdown Deja Vu

Changing times call for evolving measures. While being quarantined at our homes, most of us have found ways and means of working online. Virtual work is probably the only way forward. Artists too are looking at virtual collaborations to put their work out there for everyone to see.

An art project named ‘Virtual Gods’ is a virtual collaboration among 14 artists, using technology and newer tools and medium as a format of expression. Virtual Gods was born as an extension of the project, Scarpin’ which attempted to bridge the gap between architecture & graphic media. The artists involved in this project exchanged their ideas and different skillsets over a period of three weeks while discovering new tools, processes, and theories of creative collaboration. The virtual exhibition showcases a 3D world of architectural illustrations through an enriching dialogue fabricating collective processes without any preconceptions.

It is an imaginative space born out of the theme of ‘Déjà vu’, which has become one of the driving forces in our lives post-lockdown. It is an independent space for new ideations, which are beyond vocation, and unbound by regulation.

We welcome you to deep dive into these virtual anomalies and experience this one-of-a-kind exhibition.

The participants involved in this collaboration include Kuldeep Jangid, Ishita Parmar, Sneha Desai, Nayan Mote, Devarsh Sheth, Janhavi Shinde, Shravan Suresh, Yash Pradhan, Advaita Kelkar, Sohil Soni, Jinal Wadgama, Siddhesh Kadam, Anuj Modi, and Varun Mehta.

The exhibition is being held from 1-31 August.
