Homegrown Music Podcasts On Our Radar
Because of its impact on us, the music industry has a massive following with fans that care about more than just the track. As much as we love the music, we also love to listen to the stories behind it. Music podcasts give that to us. Apart from playing great soundtracks, they delve into music history and take deep dives, so we can explore the juicy details of an artist's rise to fame, or learn everything there is to know about their process of making a track. So here's a list of some music podcasts from across India that you can tune into for some inspiration and entertainment.
Maed in India
Hosted by Mae Mariam Thomas this is India's first indie music podcast that showcases the best Indian independent musicians from India and abroad. Each episode presents an interview with an artist/band along with an exclusive stripped-down session or acoustic renditions of their original music. The weekly show prides itself on being the destination for new music, a variety of genres from hip hop, blues, soul, to folk, punk, rock, little-known stories, and unreleased music never heard before.
