Naisha, Four Tet, Skrillex, & Champion Have Teamed Up For A Homegrown-Tinged Club Anthem

Disha Bijolia

Four Tet and Skrillex are at it again, teaming up with UK garage mainstay Champion and versatile vocalist Naisha for a fresh single, 'Talk to Me' — out now on Disorder / Capitol Records. If you’ve been following their recent work, you’ll know these guys are on a roll, dropping tracks that are redefining electronic music one release at a time. And with Four Tet and Skrillex’s chemistry driving things, Talk to Me is no exception. It’s an instant earworm designed to get you moving — and with Champion and Naisha adding their magic, it’s something else entirely.

This track has been teased in both Skrillex and Four Tet’s DJ sets for a while now, which has only stirred the anticipation across the dance music landscape. It’s a follow-up to their recent hits like Baby Again.. and glow with Fred again.. or Butterflies with Starrah. Not to mention, their unforgettable co-headlining set at Coachella 2023 solidified their combined power in the electronic music scene. Four Tet, who played a huge role in Skrillex and Fred again..’s Grammy-winning track Rumble, just dropped his own album Three earlier this year.

Champion, a legend of UK garage, has worked with Four Tet before — way back in 2014, when they tried to drop a track called Flipside. Due to sampling issues, it was only ever pressed once on vinyl, but the collaboration left a mark. Fast forward to 2023, the trio reconnected and transformed Flipside into Talk to Me. And with the Hindi verses that Naisha adds to the track, the result is worth the wait.

The opening of Talk to Me feels like a masterclass in minimal, textured sound. Four Tet’s signature crisp, high-range percussion is all over this one, setting a fast-paced rhythm that contrasts with Skrillex’s unmistakable synths. Those synths, in classic Skrillex style, have a gritty, rubbery feel that’s both infectious and familiar. When Champion’s deep, heavy bass drops in, it all comes together perfectly — his thumping basslines and punchy kicks give the track a visceral, full-bodied energy that locks you in.

Just when you think the beat is all you need, Naisha’s vocals come in and elevate the track to another level. Her blend of haunting melodies and sharp, assertive raps makes the track feel both edgy and giving it a homegrown sound. The producers could’ve left Talk to Me as an instrumental and still had a killer track, but Naisha’s vocals really tie it together bringing a whole new demographic to the fanbase. She brings that extra dimension, making the song as enjoyable on headphones as it is on a packed dancefloor.

Skrillex’s influence is unmistakable here, but it’s got a slightly different vibe than his usual bass-heavy, explosive sound. Known for bending genres like dubstep, glitch, and brostep, he often throws in snappy drums and roll effects, which add both intensity and groove. Four Tet, on the other hand, brings his signature indie electronic vibe to the table, with a clear influence from his roots in IDM, house, and even folktronica. Champion uses his garage basslines to make his point. Known for his precision and restraint, he proves once again that sometimes, less is more. His contribution adds a grittiness that feels authentic to the UK underground.

Talk to Me might be rooted in electronic sounds, but thanks to this diverse crew, it ends up with a fresh, boundary-pushing quality. Bringing back the 2013 Disclosure sound packaged in a house track, Talk To Me feels like an anthem for late nights and packed dance floors.
