Hyderabad, Attend An Audiovisual Bharatnatyam DJ Set By Murthovic This Weekend

Homegrown Team

After a massive launch in Mumbai, Dewar's 'Stay Curious' is coming to Hyderabad for its second leg in the form of a spectacular three-floor experience at a key contemporary arts center in the heart of the city — Gallery 78.

Dewar's ‘Stay Curious’ is a unique platform crafted to inspire a generation to redefine their curiosity and make room for uninhibited discoveries. From curious collaborations, unexpected confluences, and boundless co-creations, Stay Curious is a movement that will pique that unmistakable and insatiable curiosity. It's an immersive, multi-sensorial experience, where boundaries will cease to exist, and exploration will know no limits.

One of the experiences we're bringing you is an audiovisual narrative by DJ, producer, sound practitioner Murthovic, in collaboration with Anahita Chaliha and Gopika Jairam, that dives into various forms of the performing arts. Contemporary dance will meet the principles of Bharatanatyam, in a narrative choreographed to tunes resting on electronic music and ambient vocals.

Murthovic is a DJ, producer, sound practitioner and researcher, whose belief in hybrid systems of collaborations has taken his music across realms that include clubs, festivals, advertising, fashion, audio-visual dance theatricals, and fantasy video games.

Anahita Chaliha is a Bharatanatyam dancer and contemporary artist, and an alumni of the esteemed Kalakshetra Foundation. She is also a model, actor, and teacher who is driven by cross-collaborations in contemporary movement arts.

Gopika Jairam is a Carnatic singer, composer, producer, writer and thespian, originally from Kochi. She also leads strategy and creative communications at a leading PR agency in the city.
