Vaaswat Sarkar

What is the very basic need for sustenance? Food, right? On an empty stomach, the most opulent luxuries of life seem redundant. I have always imagined living a self-reliant agrarian lifestyle in the countryside, where I have my own miniature Eden. In this lush imagined garden of mine, there are the most delicious fruits and vegetables and the most beautiful flowers and in full bloom. But then I snap back to reality as I take a bite of a store-bought apple, filled with artificial chemicals. Like most of you reading this, I’m an urban dweller, whose dream of being a countryside farmer is just that…a dream.

But worry not! As urban citizens, we’ll learn to make the best of the limited space we have. Today I will tell how about a workshop that will teach you can to grow your sweet little garden, whether it’s on a balcony, terrace, or backyard. Conducted by renowned regenerative food grower, cook and writer, Neha Sumitran, this 5-day immersive kitchen gardening workshop will teach you everything you need to know to get started on your gardening journey.
