This Week In Culture: PCRC's First Festival Show In Years, Contemporary Art Exhibitions, Food Pop-Ups & More At The Homegrown Festival

Drishya

Since its first iteration as 'HG Street' in 2018, The Homegrown Festival has been a creative playground at the intersection of art, design, fashion, food, music, film, photography, and youth culture in India and South Asia. This year, The Homegrown Festival will feature Peter Cat Recording Co.'s first festival show in years, a never-seen-before body of work by Santanu Hazarika, a larger-than-life installation by Nimish Kotwal, a story-telling panel with Nag Ashwin and Arjun Varain Singh moderated by Homegrown co-founder Varsha Patra, a contemporary art exhibition, experiential food and drink pop-ups, a drift track, and so much more.

As we head into The Homegrown Festival after a year-long hiatus, here's what we have for you this week:

Event

The Homegrown Festival '25

The Homegrown Festival is India’s first-of-its-kind culture and creativity playground — a meeting ground for homegrown, South Asian, and global talent that champions new voices, bold ideas, and unfiltered artistic expression. Across seven key streams — from cutting-edge music and fireside panels to urban sports, street culture, and interactive brand experiences — the festival promises two days of full-throttle creative energy. With so many things to see, do and experience, you'll never be spoiled for choice, but here are 100 things you can do at The Homegrown Festival.

Music

The Homegrown Festival '25 — Music Lineup

We have an eclectic curation of artists this year that bring their stories from across and beyond the country in the language they know best: hip-hop, jazz, indie-pop, acid house, Carnatic fusion, techno, Afrobeats, drum & bass, and the list goes on. Head here for the music line-up for The Homegrown Festival this year.

Food

From cutting-edge culinary experiments to comforting flavours with a twist, The Homegrown Festival’s food and drink pop-ups promise to be an experience of their own. Whether you're craving bold fusion bites, artisanal brews, or something entirely unexpected, Disha shares all the details about the food and drink pop-ups at The Homegrown Festival here.

Art

Santanu & Nimish At The Homegrown Festival

The Homegrown Festival has been a creative playground for Indian artists, photographers, designers, musicians and creators for almost a decade since its first iteration as 'HG Street' in 2018. This year, the festival will showcase never-seen-before works by Santanu Hazarika, a larger-than-life art installation by Nimish Kotwal, and a contemporary art exhibition by four homegrown women artists. Learn more about the art at the heart of The Homegrown Festival 2025 here.

Panels & Conversations

At the heart of every compelling story lies identity — who we are, where we come from, and where we are headed. The Homegrown Festival 2025 will bring together two of India’s biggest filmmakers, Nag Ashwin and Arjun Varain Singh, for a conversation on the evolving landscape of Indian storytelling. Moderated by Varsha Patra, this panel will explore how narratives are shifting in contemporary India, reshaping the way we see ourselves on screen and in culture at large. Learn more about the panel here.

Brand Labs

Additionally, our partners and collaborators will be hosting a series of brand labs and activations over the course of the Homegrown Festival 2025. You can expect to see a whole host of exciting pop-ups from Black & White, Adidas Vibes, Tata Motors, Royal Enfield Royal Enfiled, Stone X, New Era, Fila, Heineken, and AIX.
