Visit Bengaluru’s First Vinyl & Craft Beer Bar

Samyukhtha Sunil

It is seldom that you find a space or a moment in the heart of a bustling city that exudes solitude. Bang in the middle of Bengaluru’s teeming Ashok Nagar is a quaint space for tunes, handcrafted brews, and more. Record Room is the newly launched vinyl and craft brew right opposite the city’s iconic Garuda Mall that hosts a warm ambience and is perfect for anyone looking to unwind mid-week with their extensive vinyl library, with a crafted beer to accompany it.

The idea for Record Room was birthed nearly three years ago when founders of independent brew houses in both Pune and Bengaluru, Nakul Bhonsle, Karthik Chandrasekaran and Akshar Halgali met at a brewing session in Bengaluru. Combining Chandrasekaran’s interests in collecting vinyl and his dream to own a vinyl bar, the founders came together to create a space that is both intimate and welcoming all at once.

To add to this, Record Room’s initiatives also include a range of offline events and sessions that are aimed towards community building and in strengthening the city’s already existing music scene.

Record Room will house several homegrown craft beers from the country including the local favourites from Toit and Geist breweries. This extensive menu also boasts handcrafted cocktails that are light and delectable. All in all, Record Room is the perfect extension of Bengaluru’s affinity with two of its longest love affairs; brews and music.
