An increasing number of both Indian millennials and Gen-Z are steering away from the conventional rat race and the material offerings of urban life. A significant portion of the youth today is looking to move towards a slower life, one that is conscious, sustainable and simplistic. Attuned to this emerging trend, a couple quit their city jobs to transform a 100-year-old property in the sleepy hills of Mussoorie into a picturesque homestay for tourists.

Sunita and Amarjeet stumbled upon a dilapidated 100-year-old, colonial cottage facing the majestic hills. Amidst the run-down appeal of the surroundings, they discovered their future home. The couple then packed up their chaotic city life to move to the hills and start a homestay that also sustains the local community that surrounds it.
