Living in a time where technology is integrated into all parts of our life, we’re surrounded by gadgets all the time. It can be easy to forget how far we’ve come since the analogue era and take things for granted. Just a day without Wi-Fi can feel apocalyptic in today’s world. With hi-tech mechanics at our fingertips, we might have lost our resourcefulness. However, in parts of the country where tech isn’t easily accessible, the spirit of innovation is still alive.

Two teens from the Niwari district of Madhya Pradesh have built a mini portable audio system with the same innovative spirit. 9th and 6th-grade students, Vishal and Armaan, have engineered a battery-operated audio system in five days. They used a toy car and mounted a speaker on it after removing its roof. To add some charm, they also attached lights to the system. The materials used in the project consist of, cardboard boxes, chart papers and toys, with a total investment of ₹2000 including the toy car.

Vishal and Aarmaan embody the creative forces harnessed by innovators that may very well lead to ground-breaking inventions in the future. It’s important to bring attention to stories like theirs so as to connect the to better resources and provide them and countless others with an education that will fully develop their potential. It also acts as a catalyst for inspiring the youth across India to act on their dreams unapologetically and refuse to be discouraged by their geographical or financial limitations.
