In India's diverse music scene, ONNO, an independent record label and audiovisual collective, stands out for experimental and unconventional sounds. With their third annual compilation album, titled অন্য (pronounced "onno"), ONNO continues its mission to showcase the diverse and unique voices shaping contemporary music in India. Featuring 21 distinctive artists and producers from across the country, অন্য is a testament to the rich musical expression found across India today.

Mixing selections from artists hailing from various regions of India and delving into a vast array of genres, অন্য offers listeners an immersive journey through experimental and boundary-pushing music. From ambient soundscapes to glitchy electronica, from lo-fi beats to avant-garde compositions, each track on the compilation album presents a sonic exploration that defies categorization. With a focus on authenticity and innovation, ONNO curates a collection that challenges conventional norms and celebrates the spirit of experimentation.

Through their second annual compilation album, "Deep Cuts," released in a limited-edition cassette version, Onno Collective provided a deep exploration of India's underground electronic landscape. Featuring 15 carefully curated tracks, the album offered a diverse sonic journey, ranging from soothing ambient tunes to abstract and experimental compositions, all-embracing modern electronic elements. ‘Deep Cuts’ served as a compelling showcase of India's burgeoning electronic music scene, introducing listeners to innovative voices such as Konflicts, Cosvoyant, and Dolorblind, while also supporting local folk musicians through its partnership with the Anahad Foundation.

This year, The 90-minute-plus compilation features an impressive lineup of artists, each bringing their unique perspective and creative vision to the table. From established names to emerging talents, the roster includes That's not self-help, Skulk, Planck, tidal.wav, Owl Vibration, Echologue, crumbit335, Rana Ghose, Jay Kshirsagar, Hemant Sk, Bengal Chemicals, Revant, AADABAAD, Songs for a Tired City, Psychopanda, TITO+, kirikirime, Pale Blue Dotter, Sirf Paudhon Se Pyaar, and Fursat FM & more. With their diverse backgrounds and musical influences, these artists collectively redefine the boundaries of Indian music, pushing the envelope of creativity and experimentation.

In celebration of three years of ONNO's journey, the compilation album is presented in a unique format - a three-color cassette tape. Available in vibrant shades of pink, green, and orange, each cassette shell is a visual representation of the eclectic sounds contained within. Alongside the physical cassette, each order includes a lyric and information booklet, providing insights into the artists and their tracks, as well as an A3 litho poster illustrated by artist kirikirime. This multi-sensory experience adds an extra layer of immersion, inviting listeners to engage with the music on a deeper level.
