Early last year, I visited Goa with a couple of friends and at the suggestion of a server at a local restaurant ended up having Urak Feni. The taste of feni with lime, lime, and slit green chilli is something that I think of often and especially when recommending it to other friends visiting Goa.
For sure a Goan classic, feni is synonymous with Goa for many. The velvety and extremely potent drink is made by double distilling the cashew apple fruit and is the perfect accompaniment to Goa weather.
