Otsü Clothing Co.

Sustainable fashion takes the crown away when it comes to putting forth fashion that cares for its environment and how it is affected. Combined with cultural and traditional specialities, and it only rides to the next level as it gives people’s heritage yet another way of shining through.

Otsü Clothing Co. from Nagaland is a prime example of tying culture, fashion, and sustainability with the same thread. Each of their collections is inspired by the 16 main tribes of Nagaland and the first one is dedicated to the Ao tribe.

Each collection consists of 25-30 garments and each of the pieces is unique to promote individuality. The clothes are thrifted and later upcycled with Naga textiles. The end result is the responsible production of off-beat and awe-worthy clothes.

‘Otsü’ in Ao dialect means ‘stories’, and the clothing company strives to allow each garment to have its own story to tell — all special in their distinctive ways.
