If you’re just about done with modern life and looking to get a taste of your prehistoric roots, then we’ve found the place for you. Opening this September in Lonavla, Rainbow Land Park is here to feed all your dino-fuelled desires. Located just ahead of Pawna dam, the 6.5 acre park is home to a plethora of attractions but the one that is creating the most buzz is their dedicated Dinosaur Park.
With animatronic dinosaurs, rides and games all themed around dinosaurs it’s the perfect - albeit safer - way to live out your Jurassic Park fantasies. In fact, the creator of the park Madan Patil admits “There’s nothing original in the world - all creativity is an assimilation of experiences one gets by the time a person becomes an adult; so it would only be futile to say that our Dinosaurs Parks is an original creation. On the contrary, it would only be proper to give credits to the Steven Spielberg’s Jurassic series from which it’s been adapted”
In case fake dinosaurs aren’t your jam, how about fake celebrities? There’s set to be an outdoor wax museum on site as well, these in addition to a minature park and various factory outlets complete the series of attractions available at Rainbow Land. In case you feel peckish after all your adventures, there are plenty of appeasing options to choose from with a cheese factory and winery (after all what is cheese without a side of wine) and a fudgery and chocolate factory ready for dessert. Even with India’s terrifying mortality rate in theme parks, you can be sure that even though you’re extinct you’re going to live to see another day.
